The Brief
UK Sport is the nation's trusted high-performance experts, they empower our top athletes, teams, sports, and events to achieve outstanding success. Since 1997, UK Sport has strategically led and invested National Lottery and Government funds to revolutionise the high-performance sporting system. This has resulted in an unprecedented number of Olympic and Paralympic medals and has established the UK as a leading nation in event hosting capabilities.
It was with this focus on hosting international events that UK Sport approached Turbine Creative. With the Rugby League World Cup running throughout Autumn/Winter 2022, UK Sport were presented with the opportunity to advertise in various locations and via different channels, to showcase the upcoming Major Events that UK Sport is involved in.
With a rapt audience and advertising opportunities often becoming available at short notice, they needed a suite of advert templates that clearly communicated key event information.

Our Solution
We created a suite of adverts that could be tailored on an ongoing basis, in-line with the upcoming programme of events. The adverts integrated UK Sport branding, dynamic sporting imagery, footage and key event information, with a dynamic visual style that united the eclectic range of content.
The adverts were developed across print in programme adverts, digital screens, and pitch-side LED boards in 30+ locations to maximise reach throughout the events. Additionally, we created a series of short hero videos that were played within venues to maximise audience engagement and awareness at the events.
Turbine Creative worked closely with UK Sport and event organisers throughout the release of the adverts. The UK Sport team were able to adapt artwork template files where relevant, maximising efficiencies, whilst also continuing to work closely with us on different iterations of video and digital files. 50+ assets were managed, created and supplied to UK Sport and the event organisers throughout the RLWC to a huge audience of spectators.
